Hey guys,
So here in the UK for the past 2 weeks it has actually felt like summer, the weathers been unbelievably boiling, people are out in shorts, tank tops and no jackets, there's been no rain, hardly and clouds and lots of sweaty people out and about.
Now, i'm rather used to wearing a full face of make-up to cover up most of my skin, and this doesn't seem to be a problem for me when its cold (like it normally is here 24/7) however, It has simply been too hot to layer it on.
I thought I would show you guys what have been the 8 staple pieces to my summer makeup, products I have worn everyday for the past 10+ days without fail, and have felt summery and fitted in with the crowd so here goes.
1. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette - I picked this up about a month ago when I was shopping in duty free, and I have wore colours from this palette almost every day. This is the ultimate nude palette, I would recommend this palette to every man and his dog, I rave about it all the time to my friends, and find that you can create any look using the shades in this palette.
My go to shades to create a simple summer look are; Bootycall, Half Baked, YDK and Tease
2. Balance Me Moisture-Rich Face Cream - I received this sample in the August Glamour magazine 2013 and thought why not include it into my face routine. I switch my moisturiser up all the time, and don't believe i've found one i can stick too. This one is still being tried, but so far i don't think I've had any major problems just a couple break outs on my chin, but this happens when all products are changed.
3.Benefit - Sun Beam; This is my all time favourite highlighter, and I use this in the summer to highlight my brow bones and the tops of my cheeks. The finish is rather shimmery but looks as though its a natural sunlight highlight. I love this!
4.L'oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick - Shade: Fuschia 202 - This is my summer statement lipstick, I wore this every night on holiday, and have found myself wearing it almost every day at home. You can build up the colour on this lipstick to a very bold in your face bright pink or wear it sheer and just a wash of colour on your lips. Thumbs up to L'oreal, I really like this formula.
5. Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless - I change my mascara all the time, and have found myself loving the finish of this one. The flex's in the mascara help to make my lashes look longer and fuller, something i look for in a mascara all the time. My eyelashes are quite long but I like to make them stand out, and find that this mascara is perfect. My only downside is that i find this formula quite hard to take off my lashes.
6. Rimmel Wake me Up foundation; Shade Ivory - I find this foundation makes my skin look glowy and radiant, definitely how I want my skin to look in the summer. The formula is smooth, and very easy to apply. I find this colour matches my skin perfectly when slightly tanned, and it also contains spf15 which is good to wear in the sunshine, protecting your face.
7. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder; Shade Translucent 001 ; Yet another rimmel product, but what can I say their base products are amazing. This is my favourite powder and it cost under £4, I've tried high end; Laura Mercier, Mac, Chanel, etc... and always find myself going back to this powder for an everyday coverage. It mattifies my face, and doesn't make me look all sweaty, which is great. I reapply this during the day just to touch up my t-zone and oily areas and its great.
8. Mac Bronzing Powder; Shade Matte Bronze - This is another product which I picked up in duty free as my bronzer smashed before my holiday. I like the colour of this bronzer, it's not too dark for my skin, and is great to contour with. I use this every day lightly, and to build it up on a night out. Really recommend this product to all those paler people out there, us secret vampires.

50 Shades of Lipstick
Hello lovelies,
If you've been reading my blog for a while then you will know that I absolutely adore lipstick, if its the on,y item of makeup I'm wearing then that fine with me. It can change any mood, any look and generally makes me feel more confident, I don't know how but trust me it does.
A reader called Gemma, (if your reading this then hey!) messaged me and asked me to do a post on my favourite lipsticks (colour, brand, texture, price) just to help the younger readers out that are just starting in Makeup and don't have a lot of cash to splash on the more luxurious lipsticks so here goes.

My Dresser
Hiyaa!
So I've see a couple of people do these as videos, but im not that confident to do one yet, so here is my Whats on my dressing table post!
I keep it quite simple as I have a chest of draws aswell which i store my makeup on, So on here I keep my 2 tier flip lid muji storage, followed by my light up No 7 mirror on top. I then have a large mirror with 2 draws connected underneath, a small glass plate which i store my costume rings on, my 3 favourite nail polishes (the ones im currently using), my favourite Chanel perfume, and a glass with my everyday brushes.
So in my small acrylic storage I keep my foundation and mainly everyday products in the top section, products such as;
Rimmel true match foundation, Rimmel wake me up foundation, Bourjois 123 foundation, MUA pro brow palette, Stay matte powder, Maybelline drama gel eyeliner, Mac Mineralize concealer, Colour stay tattoos, quad eye shadow palette, Mac Matte Bronze, Mac Lightscapade Skinfinish. Just to name a few!
On to the second draw...
So in here I keep my Naked 2 palette, 4 Mac Lipsticks (the ones i wear the most), Maybelline Pure BB cream, Nars eyeshadow in Ondine, Mac Paintpot in Indianwood, the 2 Mascaras I use at the moment (L'oreal Volume Million Lashes and Rimmel Accelerator), My Collection Lasting Perfection concelear, Mac Eye Khol in Teddy and My topshop Eyeliner in Black.
This is basically all my every day products, but i do tend to change the around with my other collection.
In the large draw I store all my hair care and skin care products, But if people want to see a more detailed post on this then let me know and I will do one. Also if people want to see my other makeup collection then feel free to leave a comment aswell.

Smokey, sexy & sultry evening makeup
Hiya beauty enthusiasts!
I know I've been doing a lot of these type of posts lately but I enjoy trying different makeup styles and looks, and I enjoy sharing them with you. So recently I went on a night out for a friends birthday and we went to the posher side of Manchester, meaning we had to dress and look more sophisticated than normal so here's the makeup I wore.
Links to all products will be left below, please leave me any comments regarding any styles or looks you would like me to try.
To start off with I used Benefit Porefessional to prime my face, prior to applying any makeup. I waited for this to sink in for about 1-2 minutes and then went on to apply my foundation, I chose to wear the Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation in the shade 51 Vanilla, and applied this using the real techniques buffing brush. I then powdered my face using Rimmel's Stay Matte translucent powder, to my problem (oily) areas of my face.
On to the brows, I used the MUA Pro Brow Palette, and took the darkest shade on my real techniques brow brush, filling in the sparse areas of my brows. I then moved onto my eyes, and used my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette to create this subtle smokey look.
I first applied my base colour (tease) all over the lid using a real techniques base shadow brush, and then took a darker colour (busted) on the outer corners of my lids blending with a Mac 217 towards the inner corner, I applied this colour a couple of times and blended until i reached my desired darkness of the shade. The last colour I took was Half Baked and applied a small amount to the inner corner of my eyes, and blended towards the outer, creating a more subtle shimmer shade. The Mascara I used was L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess Mascara, I applied 1 coat, waited for it to dry and then applied my Eylure Falsh Eyelashes number 101, with a pair of tweezers to my upper lash line.
These are my favourite eyelashes ever, and it was an even better purchase as I got a pair free!!
After applying the lashes, I found a small gap between my inner corner and the start of the false lashes, so used a little bit of Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner just to fill in the missing gap. I then applied another coat of my mascara to my bottom lashes, and took the darker colour from the naked palette the one i used earlier to blend under my eyes.
On to the cheeks, I took my all time favourite Benefit Sun Beam and highlighted the tops of my cheeks and my brow bone, and then took Mac Matte Bronze to contour my cheeks, using the Real Techniques Contour brush.
On the Lips i opted for a simple nude and used Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Gloss in the shade My Eternity.
This was everything I used to create this look, if you have any questions then leave me a comment below :)
