Christmas Gift Guide: For Her

Hey guys and dolls, as the festive season approaches us I thought I would share with you my gift guide. I've been doing quite a bit of shopping lately, as i'm an early bird and like to be organised and prepared. I thought I would do this guide for those of you who are a little bit un sure on what to buy, I will be doing a 'gift guide for him' soon so keep your eyes open, but for the mean time this is for her.

Ted Baker Make Up Bag | Ted Baker Purse | Loverdose Tattoo Perfume
Naked Palette | Benefit Brow Zings

This will include presents you can buy from your mum, sister, auntie, niece, friend, girlfriend anybody who is female basically! So to stop me from rambling anymore I shall start, so here is my Christmas gift guide part 1.

Every girl loves perfume or make up or something that generally makes them feel good about themselves. So I opted for 2 make up products, 1 perfume, a make up bag and a purse.

Now to start with my sisters just about to turn 18 and is loving being involved with using makeup at the moment, however she's been using a lot of mine. Which I don't mind just I thought I would like to get her some of her own. So she had been eyeing up my naked 2 palette, and then when we went shopping she opted for this one. For those of you who don't know, Naked Palettes are by urban decay and they have 12 eye shadows all neutral toned but with shimmer and sparkle, they suit everyone's tone and would make a great gift for a female member because everyone loves a bit of sparkle.

The brow zings, is tailored to some people, not everyone draws on their eyebrows, but for someone you know loves their brows this is perfect. It comes in 3 shades so be careful when picking the right shade, but it is the perfect brow kit to create those HD brows.

Perfume is something nearly every woman loves and uses on a regular basis. I chose this particular one because Its for my mum, She loves the original Loverdose and every time the advert comes on the tv for this she ooohs and ahhhs about how she needs it. Need I mention the smell is out of this world. I love a strong scented perfume and this is one for those people. This would be great for someone of a younger age but also a little bit older too depending on their taste.

Now the makeup bag would be something for a younger female. Again this was for my sister, she goes through makeup bags like their going out of fashion there a bit of a fad. But I thought I would get one that can fit just enough make up in for a daily basis, It can be wiped clean and is very handy to fit into a bag.

The matching purse to the make up bag is one for any age. This one is actually my mums, but I know that I want one and I'm 19 and my grandma wants one and she's 72 so this one is one for everyone. Its a little bit pricey but Its long lasting and its a purse, its in and out of a bag and on show everyday.

Keep an eye out for my male Christmas gift guide which shall be very soon. Let me know what your buying for friends and family this Christmas below.

Time to Pucker Up

Hi guys and dolls, I thought I would do a post about my favourite makeup product. LIPSTICK! for those of you who hadn't guessed by the title of this post. Anyway, seeing its autumn/fall I thought I would do a post of my favourite lipsticks which I have been going to on a daily basis to wear and make my look autumnal! If you want to see a full Autumnal makeup look then make sure you check out my previous post which is HERE!!

Lets get crack-a-lackin'...

From Left to Right Top to Bottom; Order of Lipsticks

1. Collection Gothic Glam - Revenge Shade 3 I have spoke about my love for this lipstick before. I love the deep red wine colour this lipstick gives, It makes any makeup look , look autumnal and seasonal. The great thing I love about this lipstick is that normally with deep colours they tend to stain your lips a little, but you can simply wipe this off and there is no trace. The lasting stay on this lipstick is really good as well to say that I only paid £2 for it. If you want to see a more in depth post about this lipstick then you can here.

2. YSL Rouge Vulupte Shine Lipstick (Shade 7) I bought this lipstick on kind of a whim for a present for my mum as she loves wearing browny neutral shades but ended up liking it so much I bought myself one! This lipstick is more on the glossy shine side, something I dont usually tend to go for. But I love the finish and feel of this lipstick, Again its really moisturising something you need to be going for in the winter to keep your lips soft and smooth, and the colour is gorgeous, browny nude. The gloss makes your lips look super healthy and really appealing. This is by far one of my faves and I will be giving the range another go, maybe a bright pinky colour. You can purchase this lipstick here.

3. Calvin Klein - Fusion This lipstick isn't actually mine, but its my sisters. I have stolen it for this season, As I love the deep fuscia pink colour pay off from this lipstick. This lipstick reminds me of a cross between Macs Rebel and Mac's up the amp, 2 lipsticks which I own and have worn before. Although, This one the texture is a little bit softer on the lips and more moisturising. The staying power of this is really good and long lasting as well. I like to team this lip with a gold soft smoky eye, or a taupe coloured eye.

4. Mac - Russian Red All time cult classic colour, the only thing im not too keen on is the matte finish, but I can deal with that to have nice looking red lips. This is pretty much the classic red lip lipstick. The undertones work really well with almost every skin type and this really makes my teeth stand out and look white, thanks to the blue undertones. I wear this colour mainly for going out shopping as such, and love to team this with a high top knot bun, thick black liner and a smokey eye yet again! Super autumnal.

5. Maybelline Colour Sensational - Mystic Mauve Shade 250 This is a 'neutral pink' lipstick which I generally wear all year round. But this is great in autumn and winter, when you can't really be bothered to put on a full face of makeup, but need something to stop your lips looking so pale and dry. This lipstick is super moisturising, I find all of the lipsticks from this range to be moisturising and I love wearing this lipstick just on its own with some mascara. Its a your lips but better kind of pink and helps to add colour when your feeling all winter and pale.

6. Maybelline Baby Lips - Cherry OK so I know this isn't really a lipstick, but like the one above I love this for just moisturising my lips but giving me a slight hint of colour, so I don't look really washed out. This baby lips is one of my favourite ones, I love the scent and the amount of colour It pays off, Its not too much, Just right.

For those of you who have been living under a rock, either not been on instagram or checked out some blogs then you might want to know that the Naked 3 Palette is not a hoax or a fake and it is actually on its way from the Spring 2014 collection.

This is the inside, 12 shades rose gold and neutral
The photos were leaked online, and then confirmed by Urban Decay, both on their instagram account and on the website Urban Decay. How exciting! I can't really tell you much about it, but if you sign up to the website, you will be emailed when it launches, or a couple of weeks before telling you when it will launch.

The palette tends to be more of a rose gold eyeshadow, I have a photo I have taken off another blog to compare the eyeshadow palettes and their shades.

This photo is taken from temptalia
The first palette is the naked 1, then the naked 2 and the bottom palette is the soon to be released in the UK naked 3! Eeek how exciting.

I hope you can get the feel of the naked 3 palette from the comparison of these photos, some of the shades are similar to that of the naked 2 just with a rose gold tone.
The shades include:

  • Strange Pale neutral pink matte-satin
  • Dust Pale metallic pink shimmer with iridescent micro-glitter
  • Burnout Light pinky-peach satin
  • Limit Light dusty rose matte
  • Buzz Metallic rose shimmer with silver micro-glitter

  • And will retail for the normal price of £37! Are you excited to get naked yet???

University Makeup Storage/Storage Away From Home

So I start back at university for my second year this year, and me and my friend Amy from MakeupEscape have decided to move in together. As your reading this your probably thinking 2 bloggers who love makeup living together is not a good idea.. I assure you we have influenced each other quite alot.

But, Because I am away from home for a while I kind of thought it was a bit too much to bring my entire makeup collection with. Because, I will be going back home some weekends and will need some stuff there. Therefore, I decided to bring a quantity of my makeup with me and I thought I would show you guys how i store it.

At home I store my makeup in muji storage and the draws on my dresser which you will have seen in previous posts. If not the links are here:
    My Dresser
    Makeup Storage

The makeup storage post is rather old, well nearly a year old so keep your eyes open for a new updated 'home makeup storage' but seen as though this one is a post on my new storage at uni lets get crack-a-lacking.

So to start off with I keep most of my makeup in this cutlery divider from Ikea which is available here. This was really cheap £1.50 and I knew it would fit in a draw because thats what there made for! Anyway, I tend to store most of my makeup in this apart from my foundation which I will talk about after...

Top left I like to keep my bulky items such as my Naked 2 Palette, Sleek Oh So Special Palette, Nars Orgasm Blush, Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Soft & Gentle, Mac MSF Lightscapade and Mac Bronzer in Matte Bronze.

In the section underneath this I like to keep my brushes and some cotton pads which I use to take my make up off. My brushes include real techniques, Mac and unbranded brushes. My real techniques brushes have been mentioned in posts before but I will do an updated post soon on my brush collection. In the mean time if you have any questions about my brushes then feel free to ask/contact me.

Moving on to top right I keep my 'not everyday brushes' so like spare brushes my MUA Pro Brow Palette and a Neutral W7 Palette. This is basically my random stuff both of which have been discontinued and I can't find on-line or in store anywhere, sorry guys.

In the section below that I keep my eyeshadows these include; Mac Woodwinked, Nars Ondine, Mac Paintpot in Indianwood, 17 Wild Nude Metallic, Maybelline 24 hour Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate, MUA Brown and My Mac Quad consisting of Star Violet, Mystery, Rule and Naked Lunch. On to the other pieces in this section this includes; Bourjois Bronzing Primer & Benefit Sun Beam Highlighter. Merely because there was no other space to put these.

The bottom section consists of Mascara, Concealer and Lip Crayons. Seventeen Phwoarr Paint Light, Mac Mineralize Concealer NW15, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer Light 2, Maybelline Gel Eyeliner Blackest Black, Mac Eye Khol Teddy, Rimmel Brow Pencil Dark Brown, Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara Black, Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara, L'Oreal Dimantissime Mascara, Revlon Just bitten Kissable Balm Stains in Rondezvous, Lovesick and Crush.

This is my basic collection I brought from home, almost everyday wear if you like. I also keep some stuff such as my foundation on top of my dresser.

I store all my bracelets on a glass tea lighter holder and my lipsticks in this holder which was from ebay for about £2.99 you can get it here!!
    The Lipsticks Ive brought with me are;

Mac - Rebel, Up The Amp, Russian red, Brick o La, Peach Blossom and Viva Glam 1.

Others - Revlon Mauve it over, Collection Revenge, Collection Scorned, Baby Lips Cherry Me, Maybelline Midnight Plum, Maybelline Magic Mauve and Maybelline Pink Lollipop.

My foundation draw is a little bit drastic to say im living at uni, but you never know how your skins going to feel so I brought quite a few with me.

    Mac Studio Fix Fluid NC15
    Rimmel Match Perfect 100 Ivory
    Loreal True Match Rose Beige
    Bourjois 123 Perfection 51 Vanilla,
    Rimmel Stay Matte 100 Ivory
Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream Light, Illamasqua Skin Base 4.5

So this is about everything Ive brought with me, if any of you are interested in My skin care routine or essentials I've brought with me to university. Then Let me know below and I will do a post for you!

P.S. almost forgot to mention my acrylic storage is from Muji
about a year ago you can find my original post here

    Top 6 Jewellery Picks

Hey Guys and dolls, so I've not done a fashion style post in a while its been all about the haulin' and the make up. So, I thought I would do a little Jewellery post to get me back into the mood of things. I have picked my top 6 favourite items, Jewellery which I wear often and sometimes most days depending on my mood I love a good piece of costume jewellery from necklaces to rings.

Before I ramble anymore here are my top 6 picks:

    1. New Look - Glass Heart Necklace. I actually bought this necklace in the sale and it cost me a grand total of £1.50. I fell in love with it instantly though the detail and the scratching on the glass heart was probably the thing that sold me to buy it. I also love the length of the chain, it sits quite nice between my collar bones and is the perfect length for a collar shirt necklace. I bought this near the end of last year and don't think it is available anymore.

    2. River Island - Gold Toned Jewel Earrings. These earrings aren't sold on-line any more but you might still find them in the shops. I have found an alternative (without the jewels) here for £1.50. These earrings were £5 and I think they look great with a simple pony tail, I've worn them with my hair down before but because its in front of my face you can't really see the earrings. Im not a huge fan of crosses, especially when the 'cross themed gothic trend' was out and about earlier this year but I really like these surprisingly.

    River Island Earrings £5

    3. New Look -Gold Oval Ruby Ring wahey a product that is still available to buy online. I bought this ring just over 2 weeks ago as I am loving the deep red ruby look at the moment with jewellery and lips and this ring looked fabulous on my pale hands may I add with my deep red nail varnish I was wearing at the time. This ring was a real steal costing just £2.99 BARGAIN!!! I have been wearing this almost everyday, switching up the finger and teaming with deep red lips.

New Look Gold Toned Oval Ruby Ring - £2.99
    4. Primark - Silver and Turquoise drop earrings. I think these are still in store and they were around the £1.50/2 mark. Really cheap and look really chic, these to me don't seem like anything you would find in primark, more of a topshop etsy kind of earring. I swear when I got these everyone around the jewellery stand had a pair I love them.

    5. Ebay- Triangle bunting bracelet. This bracelet is my number 1 steal my favourite all time item and cost me under £1.50 you can get it here. Numerous of people have this bracelet including Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter. She is the main reason why I bought this bracelet, I saw it on her blog and thought it look so shabby and worth alot more than it was. It only took 1 week to get from the seller (china) which I thought was reasonably good considering the postage and packaging was free.

    eBay Triangle Bracelet - £1.50
    6. Silver Studded Spiked Bracelet. I can not remember for the life of me where this bracelet was from but I love it. This is quite thick and chunky and tends to annoy my sleeves on my clothing. So, I tend to wear this bracelet with a short sleeved dress or inside the house without sleeves. Typical me always finding a problem with something. I think this cost me about £3 which I think is brilliant considering the quality and make of the bracelet, Its really sturdy and doesn't loosen the elasticated strap.

So thats it my top 6 jewellery picks. What's your favourite jewellery or style? Do you like costume or simple silver?

    Body Care; Soap & Glory

    Hiyaaa my lovelies!

My favourite body care brand is soap and glory and I love love love it! For those of you who don't know what soap and glory it, it essentially is a skin care turned makeup brand that is available here in the UK. Its products range from sweet smelling body lotions to citrus scented shower gels.

A different scent for your daily needs.

I like all of the scents if im completely honest, but some of them are a little to sweet and over powering. I've narrowed my selection of products down to just 2. 2 products I think people should try if they have never tried soap and glory (or at least open in the shop and have a little smell).

2 products I have chosen are body lotions, 1 Is a body butter and the other is a smoothie moisturizer.

Both of these were in a set I received last Christmas, But I have been out and re-purchased these separately since. At the moment at boots up until Christmas they carry out offers such as 3 for 2 on soap and glory, or spend £10 or more on body products and get £15 worth of boots points. I most definitely chose to stock up on my soap and glory when these offers are on, as its hard not too especially when your getting something for free.

The Righteous Butter is hands down one of the best body butters I have ever tried. This softens my skin, even the roughest of areas such as my elbows. I like to use this during the winter, even though my skin tends to be very soft, during the winter my skin does go a little bit dehydrated and dry. This tub will last me around about 2-3 months which for a body butter I consider this to be quite good. The amount you get is well worth the money as well. This product retails for £10.50 but if you carry out the offers i mentioned above you'll soon find out that the cheapest ones are free. The scent of this is rather sweet, and a bonus is it contains shea butter and aloe vera, which locks in the moisture. When I apply this on my skin, after about 20 minutes my skin feels like silk, it is so smooth and another huge bonus is a little goes a very long way as the thickness of the cream isnt so thick that it doesn't spread.

Smoothie Star Deep Moisture Body Milk is again my all time favourite body moisturizer. I use this every day after my shower to keep the moisture locked into my skin. The smell of this is absolutely divine this moisturizer also contains cocoa butter, almond, honey and yoghurt. The combination of this gives the most incredible smell. It is so hard to explain the smell, but its sweet and very 'food-like' if that makes any sense its a little bit like chocolate but a bit more sweeter. I would recommend having a smell in one of your nearest boots for a true scent. But this one just like the body butter locks in the moisture and I can still feel the silkiness and smoothness on my skin after about 3 hours of application. The scent also lingers on your body, and my friends and family compliment the smell all the time. Especially my partner he thinks it smells divine compared to other moisturizers I have tried in the past.

Let me know what your favourite soap and glory products are, of If you have tried any and your not a fan. I love to hear your opinions so contact me and let me know.

    Love
